1. About these terms

The website https://ivacaterina.org (the “website”) is run by ASOCIAȚIA IVACATERINA’S WAYMAKERS (the “Association”), with its registered office at Str. Dropiei nr. 2, sc. D, et. III, ap. 14, Timișoara, jud. Timiș, tax identification code 50179280. By accessing and using the website you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

2. Purpose of the website

The website presents the Association's mission, educational information about SPG4 and scientific research, the fundraising campaign and ways to get involved. Medical information is for educational purposes only and does not replace a medical consultation; see the Medical disclaimer.

3. Intellectual property

• The texts published on the website belong to the Association (© ASOCIAȚIA IVACATERINA’S WAYMAKERS), unless stated otherwise. You may quote short excerpts for non-commercial, informational or educational purposes, citing the source and, where possible, linking to the original page. Any other reproduction requires our written permission.
• The articles, studies and other scientific references cited belong to their authors and publishers; we mention them only as sources.
• The images on the website are AI-generated illustrations, unless stated otherwise. They do not depict real patients, families, researchers or partners.
• The names, logos and trademarks of partners and sponsors belong to their owners and are displayed only with their permission, as an acknowledgement of their support.

4. Use of the Association's name

You may not use the Association's name, logo or materials in a way that suggests an affiliation, partnership or endorsement that does not exist. People who wish to raise funds for the campaign may do so only after written confirmation from the Association and only through the official donation channels shown on the website; they do not act as representatives of the Association.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the admin area, the servers or other people's data;
• disrupt the operation of the website (for example, through automated or bulk submissions);
• send false or offensive information through the forms, or other people's data without being entitled to do so, including information about their health.

6. Links to other websites

The website contains links to third-party websites (for example, payment processors, Bursa Binelui, scientific publications). We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or policies; their use is subject to their own terms.

Donations are governed by the Donation terms. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any disagreement will first be settled amicably; you can write to us at contact@ivacaterina.org. Failing an amicable solution, disputes will be settled by the competent courts at the Association's registered office, subject to mandatory legal rules on jurisdiction, including those protecting consumers.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, together with the date of the last update. Continuing to use the website after changes are published means you accept them.
